Yes, we fly from the Tsaina heli-pad. The world’s best ski terrain is a 2-minute helicopter bump away.

All VHSG lead guides have at least 10 years-experience as heli-ski guides.

Demo skis, ski poles and snowboards are included in our Membership Package. Rentals are available for other packages.

There are daily flights to the Valdez airport. On Saturdays we offer a private charter flight between Anchorage and Valdez for our guests. We will pick you up upon arrival and drive you to the Totem Hotel and Suites in Valdez or Tsaina Lodge, 35 miles into the mountains from Valdez.

VHSG helicopters are installed with Hobbs meters which only register when the helicopter is flying. Time the helicopter is on the ground, even if it’s engine is running, does not register on the Hobbs meter.

Anyone who can comfortably ski at a major ski resort, can comfortably ski and have a great time with VHSG.

The Tsaina Lodge is one of the newest and nicest heli-ski lodges in North America. All guests have private rooms with Tempur-Pedic beds, private bathrooms and daily laundry service. The Tsaina ski-village après-ski is also legendary, the fun continues after the ski day is done. For Traditional Package clients, the Totem Hotel & Suites is the nicest lodging in Valdez, offering many amenities. It is a 40-minute beautiful shuttle drive up into the mountains from the Totem to the Tsaina Lodge helipad.

While gratuities are greatly appreciated, they are never required. If you appreciated the bar and dinner service, you are able to leave a tip on your dinner receipt, which is signed for nightly.

The suggested gratuity is:
up to $20 per day if you feel your housekeeper has gone above and beyond meeting your expectations
$100-200 per day to guide(s) for days skied
$25-$50 per day to pilot(s) for days flown
